Our packages are priced and designed for one person. If you would like to bring someone with you; be that a friend, partner or family member, please let us know and we can discuss and tailor to your needs.
The futon couch in the sitting area can be set up another double bed if needed, and we can arrange any wellness sessions that the other person desires. This will be available at extra cost, so simply get in touch before booking and we’ll put together the right package together for you both.
Each package lists what is included: the number of accommodation nights and the wellness sessions. These vary by each package.
The accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, and cooking essentials, a private outdoor garden, and a full-sized bath. Please note that meals are not provided – you’ll need to bring your own food or shop locally.
Optional add-ons (a seasonal vegetable box, garden tour) can be added when making your booking. Note that the vegetable box varies with the seasons – expect an abundance of fresh produce in summer and autumn, while winter boxes reflect the quieter garden with preserved goods and hardy greens.
Self-catered means meals are not provided — you’ll be doing your own cooking during your stay. Your kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with the basics to get you started: tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt, pepper and a few pantry staples.
You’ll need to bring your own food to cook, or stock up once you arrive. The region is wonderfully abundant — local farmers markets, artisan food producers, and lovely cafés and restaurants are all within easy reach, and exploring them is very much part of the experience.
If you’d prefer not to think about food at all, you can add a seasonal organic vegetable box from our garden at booking. Note that the vegetable box varies with the seasons — expect an abundance of fresh produce in summer and autumn, while winter boxes reflect the quieter garden with preserved goods and hardy greens.
Any shiatsu, yoga and qigong sessions included in your package are best arranged with us ahead of your arrival to ensure you receive them at the time you want and to give you a structure you can relax into.
We’ll be in touch after your booking to schedule these at times that suit you.
Many of our guests are women visiting for the first time. We understand that arriving somewhere new alone can create some anxiety, and so we’ll be here to greet you and settle you in our cosy space.
As one guest put it: “I went as a solo woman who often finds it hard to drop into an unknown place, and I felt relaxed right from the start.”
This is your retreat time so you decide what you need. Deep rest and introspection is its own kind of medicine, and some people choose not to go very far at all from the space.
Your yoga and shiatsu sessions are included in your package and scheduled to suit your rhythms.
Jane specialises in heart-centred nourishing yoga, creating safe spaces for people to reconnect with themselves. After experiencing the deep exhaustion of juggling career, family and endless responsibilities, she discovered deep healing through yoga and tending the beautiful gardens at Tara Springs.
Following cancer in his late 20s, Glenn shifted from ‘head to heart’, transforming his career as an engineer to shiatsu massage. Now with over 30 years of experience in shiatsu and qigong, he helps release deep tensions from stress and overwhelm, gently resetting dysregulated nervous systems.
Jane and Glenn understand that healing happens in quiet moments of integration; when you finally breathe deeply, let go, and remember who you are beneath all the doing. They’ve created a place of love and beauty to support connection with your inner wisdom.
At Tara Springs, you’re not just visitors; you’re coming home to yourself.
