Self Care to Sooth
the Nervous System

Simple Practices and Resources for
Self-empowerment and Relaxation

Unable to switch off?

If you do, then you will very likely have aches, pains or tensions and niggles in the body that impair living a full and free life.

The following problems are indicators your nervous system is spending too long in the fight-flight mode or you have some form of trauma.

  • Chronic neck tension with frequent headaches
  • Constant back ache & hip tension
  • Digestive problems
  • Breathing issues, shortness of breath
  • Tight joints
  • Sleep problems

Dont despair. Your body has an in-built healing mechanism that I can help facilitate you to access and reconnect with whenever you need through simple exercises and practices.

Meet your Facilitator

Glenn Polley

I have been practicing both Qigong and Shiatsu since 1994 with an understanding that learning to listen to the messages the body is giving is a pathway to a greater understanding of our health and wellbeing. It is constantly telling us what it needs, yet the seemingly constant state of 'fight-flight' our culture has evolved into, means we are generally unable to hear or act upon those messages.

For the past 10 years I have worked with complex trauma and high needs disability in my clinical practice and have understood that the state of ones nervous system is fundamental in our state of being. I have realised that when it is 'switched on', it manifests in consistent areas of the body so I have looked at exercises we can do for ourselves to encourage it to 'switch off'.
